Retrofit Assessment Voucher Scheme
Claim your Home Energy
Efficiency Assessment voucher
A Home Energy Efficiency Assessment – sometimes known as a retrofit assessment – is the crucial first step to identifying the best ways to make your home more energy efficient. Having this done properly, by an expert, will ensure that any changes you might make to your property will deliver value for money and have the most impact on your property’s heat retention.
To help, Warm Homes Suffolk is offering a voucher to eligible homeowners that covers the cost of these assessments. The assessment will be conducted by a trained professional who will analyse the building’s construction, materials, existing energy efficiency measures and any relevant heritage or planning constraints. You will receive a comprehensive report that outlines the findings and recommends specific improvements for lower emissions and better energy savings. Some of these improvements can then be quickly and cheaply implemented.
Why take part?
No/low cost. No cost for homes under 98m². The scheme is funded by Suffolk Public Sector Organisations – the most you will pay for a home bigger than 98m² is £30 for an assessment typically valued at over £250.
No obligations. There is no requirement to take forward any recommended work on your home. However, an interest-free loan scheme is available if it would help you make energy efficient upgrades, for example insulation, solar panels, batteries, glazing or heat pumps. Find out more here.
